Sense and Sense-abilities) and Dr. Eugene Shum (Co-PI, Eastern Health

In this video, Prof Tan shares about SHINESeniors (Smart Homes and Intelligent Neighbours to Enable Seniors) research programme led by TCS-SMU- iCity Lab where technology solutions helps streamline personalized care and community care plan in Sensor-enabled homes. Singapore faces major challenges in providing care and support for our senior citizens due to the fact that the number of post-retirement people aged sixty-five and older is increasing, with the help of this passive and unobtrusive home-care platform TCS-SMU- iCity Lab aims to build a sustainable living environment to help our seniors live independently in the community whilst respecting their privacy.
