The Legal Innovation Agenda - Pre, During and Post COVID

The past decade witnessed the rise of what might be called The Legal Innovation Agenda. While robot lawyers dominated the headlines, it was a series of trends that coalesced in the 2010’s including Legal Tech and Legal A.I., New Business Models and Ecosystem Players, Legal Process Improvement, the overall Digitization of Business, etc. We opened the 2020’s with a Global Pandemic which has already disrupted many legacy behaviors and assumptions. In this lecture, Professor Katz will discuss which trends will be accelerated by COVID and which trends / ideas will be jettisoned as we move out of the COVID era into the balance of the 2020’s.
